Fonte Aretusa is a body of water on the island of Ortigia in Siracusa, in the oldest part of the Sicilian city, a place of encounter between reality and legend, one of the most beautiful monuments of Syracuse.

Its origin is the development of one of the outlet of the water table that is located in Syracuse, the aquifer that also supplies the river Ciane on the opposite side of the port. Presents a circular room, with an inside move, or a double concentric circle.
